FAQ | Ready Set Rackets

Questions Parents Ask Us

Quick, honest answers. If yours is not here, just ask.

What ages is Ready Set Rackets for?

Kids roughly 18 months to 5 years old. Ready Tots covers 18 months to 2 years 11 months with a parent joining in, and Ready Athletes covers ages 3 to 5.

Do I stay with my child?

In Ready Tots, yes, a parent or caregiver joins every class and it is half the fun. In Ready Athletes, staying is optional. Many parents watch from the side, and at preschool classes the kids are already in their school day.

Do we need our own paddle or racket?

No. We bring everything: mini paddles, junior rackets, soft balls, nets, hoops, and all the fun extras. In preschool programs, your child even gets a mini paddle to keep as part of the starter kit.

What should my child wear?

Sneakers and comfy clothes they can move in. That is it.

My child has never held a racket. Is that okay?

That is exactly who this program is for. Every game is built so brand-new players succeed on day one.

My child is shy or has a hard time with groups. Will this work?

Very often, yes. Small groups, short turns, and a coach whose whole job is making kids feel successful. Tell us about your child and we will help them ease in.

What if we miss a class?

Life with little kids happens. Let us know and we will do our best to work with you.

Is it safe? Who are the coaches?

The program is fully insured, and every coach carries complete child-safety clearances before stepping into a class. Coaches are trained on the same written lesson plan, so every class is organized and predictable.

Which sports do kids learn?

Pickleball, tennis, and padel are the heart of the program, with skills that carry into every racket sport, even padel down the road.

How do I sign up?

For weekend classes, register through your township's program catalog. For preschool classes, sign up directly with us. Start at Find a Class.
